Hungary is
located in central Europe between the Carpathian mountains and the Alps,
in the great plains of the Danube and the Tisza rivers. There are also a
few smaller mountains on the northern part of the country: Mátra (with
the highest peak of the country: Kékes 1015m), Bükk, Börzsöny;
as well as on the western section called Transdanubia, the biggest of whom
are the Bakony and Mecsek.
The mian rivers are the Danube, Tisza, Rába, Kőrös, Maros, Zala,
Hernád, Sajó Capital city is Budapest, other important cities
include: Miskolc, Debrecen, Győr, Pécs, Szeged, Vác, Kaposvár |
